Full/Part Time CERTIFIED/LICENSED Veterinary Technician
Middle Road Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced LICENSED or CERTIFIED technician ONLY that has completed an accredited veterinary technician program of study. We are a growing clinic in the Glenshaw area interested in building a team of dedicated, compassionate and motivated colleagues. We work as a team that focuses on quality care at an affordable cost.
Our practice has a strong focus on wellness care through preventative medicine. We also provide surgical care including oral, soft tissue and orthopedic when the need arises. We work with several area rescue organizations to help animals in the community.
Our certified veterinary technicians directly handle inpatient and outpatient care, working hand-in-hand with our veterinarian. The technicians assist in exam rooms by taking patients’ history, vital signs and weight; preparing vaccines; collecting samples and running diagnostic tests; providing client education; and assisting with animal restraint. Technicians also may see their own appointments for procedures such as suture removal, nail trim, vaccine administration when a doctor exam is not required, long-term medication monitoring testing, surgery admission and discharge and boarding check-in exams. Technicians directly impact doctors’ productivity, client service and patient care. Technicians play a key role in communicating with clients in person and by phone for follow-up care and patient monitoring.
