The PA Governor’s office has confirmed that veterinary services DO fall under Healthcare and are permitted to stay open, however, the AVMA has advised rescheduling elective procedures, such as annual examinations, vaccinations, spays/neuters, and routine dental procedures (Non-painful mouths that do not need tooth extractions). Animals that are sick or injured should receive veterinary attention and we will continue to schedule appointments for these animals at our hospital. If you have an emergency, and we are not in the office, PVSEC on 807 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 is open 24 hours. They can be reached at (412) 366-3400. Per AVMA guidelines, in an attempt to limit the spread of Covid-19, we are postponing scheduling wellness examinations until we are given the all clear by our local governments. If you are calling about food or medication for your pet, please leave your name, pet’s name and the best number to reach you and we will return your call as soon as possible. This is an evolving situation and we will make every effort to update our website and our Facebook page to reflect any new information in a timely manner. We are sorry for any inconvenience.
